So one of the 'new' blogs that I have found is Just Playing Pretend. She is freaking awesome. She created these lists that I keep coming back to (like a stalker, but less creepy and better mannered.) I told her I might follow suit and she gave me the green light. This just might be the newest internet meme sensation, I think.
The Little Engine That Could is my role model, but there are things I can't do

*roll my r's when speaking Spanish
*be positive 100% of the time
*whistle
*do any math but basic without a calculator...or sometimes even with one
*fall asleep without reading
*ride a bike

*make a damn good cupcake
*give comfort when it is desperately needed
*make people laugh
*crochet a blanket
*read a book in a day
*smile at a stranger
I'd like to think I'm adventurous and open-minded, but there are things I won't do

*cheat on a significant other
*eat goat cheese
*give the time of day to a guy I know is not worth it
*be fake, ever
*go bungee jumping
*wear something just because it's supposedly trendy
but I will...
*cheer for you when you sing karaoke, act in a play, or dance in a recital
*always offer to bring something to your party
*spend hours in a bookstore
*believe in love, no matter what
*buy shots for the group
*go sky diving
This may be hard to believe, but sometimes I do things I shouldn't

*be so worried about what other people think
*be afraid to say "no"
*live for the weekend
*spend lots of money on drinks
*argue with my mother
*rely on Ambien for a good night's sleep

I loved this at JPP's place too! You , my dear, just made a fantastic list. One that I will probably come over and stalk! I too could spend hours in a bookstore easily! There are so many other things that I agree with too...but that one stands out the most. Oh and I can't go to sleep without drugging myself either:)
i may just have to do this...what a list you have!!! i so could relate to the majority of these...especially checking my voicemail...i always tell folks not to leave me messages because i just won't check it...

i thought i was the only one..i cant ride a bike either :P although i did when i was younger, i guess the saying "its like riding a bike" doesnt work for me haha

OMG!! I love your entire list Gabby!! You are awesome! Only you would be able to write something so beautiful, I really liked each of your points....on both they can, and can'ts, shoulds and shouldsn't ....like math WITH a calculator! HAHA HILARIOUS! ...love that you can crochet a blanket... never cheating on a significant other MY ALWAYS NUMBER ONE THING IN PEOPLE AS WELL!! {that whole thing irritates me, cheaters my my skin crawl} ...ummm you should try goat cheese. really. Oh I will spend hours in a book store too! {yay!!} , yeah you are right...we shouldnt be afraid to say no, ehh but I can't say no either GAH!...and I love your shoulds too...but I'll never check my VM lol.....oh and yes, please do plan your next dinner party!!

fabulous list... BUT goat cheese is awesome and everyone should eat it and say, "mmmm." one time i made chuck try some cheese because i liked it but it made his face go all grimacey and he almost had a cheese related heart attack. (he did not like it). i love cheese.

Great list! I agree with so much you wrote. Glad that I'm not the only one who can't really ride a bik (this was never a problem until I moved to Amsterdam a few years ago... argh, everyone uses one there!). Not loving goats cheese either. Have a fab weekend!
