Sometimes the highlight of my weekend
is an amazing meal.
And I'm quite alright with that.
I love those dinners that you are still talking about 48 hours later.
BFF and I had dinner at Pizzeria Ortica on Saturday night
and it was fantastic.
{roasted vegetables, burrata cheese and basil oil. simple but i could eat this every day and be happy.}
We were 'celebrating' an anniversary.
It's been a year since this happened.
{insanely good pizza: fresh ricotta, house cured pork belly, scallions, fennel pollen. not sure what the heck fennel pollen is. but i heart it.}
We talked about the past year while
we stuffed our faces.
The convo and the food {obvs} were so good.
{i promise i was happier then i looked. this was post food & wine. food coma much?}
If you're ever in Orange County, go to Pizzeria Ortica.
And invite me.
What was the highlight of your weekend?

You look super cute - totally understand the food coma look myself - I had it yesterday:)
My weekend highlight? Probably coming home from family fun last night and just watching movies!
You make me cry with these reports of deliciousness. I now live in a country where finding good pizza will be impossible. SIGHHHH.
Anyways highlight of my weekend was NOT leaving my wallet 8000 miles away but I had some great chicken rice and though I had to throw away some of the foods I packed, a kind Singapore Airlines person at Heathrow let me slide 2ith 20 kiloes over the limit (for free). People can be pretty cool.
The highlight of my week is spring break!! The school where I work is on break this week and it is going to be fab-u-lous!!! That pizza looks yummy!
yummy!! that pizza sounds and looks so delicious!
So cute! I want some piza.
Man, I'm starving right now! That pizza looks divine! My favorite is Mellow Mushroom's Magical Mystery Tour...it has a white sauce, spinach, mushrooms, and jalapenos.
I love a great pizza, and now you've made me hungry!
Glad you had such a wonderful time!
Yum! Pizza! Sounds delish! I have no idea what fennel pollen is either. Weird.
What polish are you wearing on your nails? We might be polish twins (not to be confused with Polish twins...because that's just a joke waiting to happen. haha.)
And I still love that you quoted Beaches.
And I LOVE YOU SO MUCH AND WANT TO EAT PIZZA WITH YOU. the end.
that meal looks amazing. food is usually my highlight as well.

the highlight of my weekend besides your happy mail was spending time with Max's sister's family: hearing his 3 year old nephew caleb call me "aunt micaela"-- swoon. We ARE family you know? it was one of those great moments were it hit me.
j'adore YOU!
Yum, now I'm hungry!! Love good food!
I'm rarely in the OC but if i am i will remember to go there and then hit you up! Haha.
have a great week gabby! Xoxo.
you look lovely!! and omg does that look good...pizza could sustain me for the rest of forever but then they would have to roll me around like Violet in Willy Wonka...which If if I'm eating pizza all the time could be a fair tradeoff =)
Hey Gabby , stopped by from Micaela's and am hooked now ..
The pizza looks absolutely delicious ..maybe i can coerce Hubs into takin me there this weekend ..its a good 50-60 mile drive but what the hell ..anything for good food , rite ?

I of course had to go back and read the "this" post... and your urge to quote Beaches had me in tears... the laughing so hard kind. Awesomeness.
