fruit...salad...kinda

Is it too soon for another 'i heart pinterest' post?
No?
Ok good.

Cause this happened.
A few weekends ago was Long Beach Pride and if you have been reading my blog for any amount of time, then you know that it wasn't my first rodeo. Yanno what I mean? I am a proud fruit fly.
Get it?
Ha?

Anyways. So many of my friends have moved to Long Beach, so of course BFF and I headed up. Our lovely friend Shelley hosted a breakfast and lunch at her amazing apartment...and she had the above treats just waiting for us.
Yes, jello shots, in a variety of flavors, in orange, lemon and lime rinds.

How do you do it?
Cut your fruit in half and scoop out the fruit, being careful to not poke any holes in the rind.
Make the Jello Jigglers recipe, substituting 1 cup of water for vodka.
Place your fruit halves in a muffin tin to keep them upright, then carefully pour the jello mixture into each half.
Chill for at least 4 hours and cut into wedges.

It's summah summah summah time now.

I don't normally love jello, but I'm gonna give it another chance just to make these since they are SO DANG CUTE!
